  1. Able to get just front half of exhaust (turbo to cat) for R34?? Will be interested if this is possible.
  2. why not get a front cut?? that way you get the engine, ECU, harness, brakes, instrument cluster etc all included. Trust me, makes the conversion so much easier.
  3. I doubt that a simple db test will be enough to clear the defect. As your exhaust is not standard anymore, it is deemed a modification and will need to be engineered. Your engineer will be able to do the certificate and the db test all in one. He can also engineer your pod too.
  4. It only costs about $500 to get your whole car engineered, so my advice would be to get an emissions test done first and tuck your exhaust up so that its >100mm. Then just take it to any engineer. There you will get a drive by induction test done (for your pod filters), a stationary noise test for your exhaust and the engineer should pass everything else, assuming that the emissions test is OK.
  5. Need to get a blue slip for it first, then a CTP green slip then rego it.
  6. Answers to some commonly asked questions: 1. It is a 5 speed manual 2. No, I have not turbocharged the NA engine. A full RB25DET NEO was transplanted in from a Stagea. 3. Yes a swap may be considered. Mainly looking for a late-ish model WRX or R33 GTR. Cash adjustment may be required depending on model and condition. Thanks, Brett
  7. Price drop With stereo: $33000 Without stereo: $31500
  8. With all due respect, I am trying to sell my car here and stupid comments like that are not helping.
  9. Yes, however, my understanding is that there is no difference between the two models. The current setup is more than capable trust me!! Yes it now has the NEO RB25DET. All mods are installed outside of the turbo timer, HKS BOV (yet to receive it from a group buy here), and the 3"cat. Pics will be up ASAP. Brett
  10. Looking to upgrade. I have my eye on something with a little more potential.
  11. Hey guys, Looking at selling my R34. Below are some specs and some pictures. Car: 1998 R34 25GT Engine: RB25DET NEO Straight 6 (28,000kms) Modifications Performance: RB25DET NEO Conversion HKS Type S FMIC HKS Super Dragger 3.25" Cat back exhaust HKS Pod Audio: Alpine CDA-9833 headunit Alpine MRD-501 V12 amp 2 x 12" Alpine Type R subs in enclosure Exterior: 17" alloy rims, brand new tyres front, 65% rear This car is extremely clean and has never been boosted. Car was bought by me 18 months ago and has been garaged ever since. Car was serviced when engine transplant was undertaken, and is about due for another one. This will be completed before sale. Rego is due in October Looking for $34,000 ono. 3" hi-flow cat will also be included, as well as HKS turbo timer, and HKS SSQV BOV which are yet to be installed. I believe this is a great price for what this car is, and would make a great base for further modification. I am located in Coffs Harbour, however, should enough interest be available in Brisbane will consider driving up there should insterested parties want a test drive. Please note: the pictures below are pre-intercooler/turbo install. New pictures with intercooler/turbo engine will be up once I have my camera fixed. Any questions, please ask. Cheers, Brett
  12. Do you guys ever get your hands on GTRs?? Will be interested in buying one soon!!
  13. I know they dont, but my car needed to be blue slipped in order for it to be re-registered, and they would not give me a blue slip without an engineering certificate. Jax - Thanks heaps. PM replied.
  14. Interested in R34 dash and instrument cluster. Could you please forward pics to [email protected].
  15. Sorry, by saying I was in the right means that: 1. The police officer did not take a db reading of my exhaust, therefore how does he know it is louder?? 2. Nissan does not specify how loud a standard exhaust is, just that it is under 90db. I have been told this by my engineer, but will seek written evidence of this next week. 3. My car has been legally registered in the state of NSW with the exhaust on it. I know that it is not a case of who is morally right or wrong, and have taken your advice. I will prove that there is no case first and foremost.
  16. Depends on who engineers it. When I got the new engine in my 34 engineered, it was basically a case of the engineer looking at it, and writing what they do on the engineering certificate. I wouldn't think you would have too many problems.
