R33_Cam

i have a GFB BOV on my car, im not sure which one it is, but its purple non plumback type with a trumpet on the side, sounds ok i rekon.

ppl mite say that autometer guages are only for the V8 boys but thats what i have, Phantom series, which are white faced, and in a twin pod on the pillar, but i specially modified them to have blue LED's, just for the rice factor, hehe, but they havent given me any hassles at all, and for the price they are, i think i'd recomend them.

they mite use something different over there, but i know they did a test in our tunnel with the speed checking devices they use over here and it never worked properly, thats only going on what i have heard

they cant mount radars in the tunnel, cause of the frequency that they work at, the radio waves bounce off the walls and give in-accurate readings of the vehicles speed. but who knows what they will come up with to overcome that???

whats this about speed cameras on the freeway?? are they banned??? and i saw a speed camera setup on a main road, where they had one camera, then another one down a bit further and also another one on the other side of the road, that was pretty good idea, i wonder how many ppl they would have got with that??? i have the manual but its in japanese,i think ill go and do a course in japanese, hahaha, so i went to that website, but it aint that clear on measuring the wheel, is it the whole wheel you measure, including tyre, or just rim?? cause on my last 33 the "tyre adj" in the RSM was set to 103% and that had 17" rims on it, i only used 103% as that was an example that they had in the english version of the manual, and that seemed ok. has anyone ever fitted a bigger battery in an r33 in the same position as the standard size one is, the battery in there now is tiny and keeps going flat, so i think i need a new one but i dont want to get the same tiny one again and am not sure if a bigger one will fit??? Cam.

does anyone out there know what the settings should be on a RSM for a car with 18's on it, i have just put 18's on my 33 and the speed etc etc. is all out on the RSM, can anyone shed some light on this siuation??? Cam.

thats one of the fuse box's under the bonnet and also where you jump start the car from if you ever need to Cam.

PranK: yeah not being on straight prob would have caused it cause that little plastic thing that sits on the shaft, wouldn't have been contacting properly, it has 3 ridges that fit into steering wheel and it turns at the same time and goes thru some kind of sensors. Cam.

do u have an aftermarket steering wheel on your car???? cause a have exactly the same thing happoen in my 33, and have been told that it is caused by having the wrong type of boss kit installed, i havent confirmed this yet. also could be a little white plastic thing, that sits on the shaft thats your steering wheel bolts to, u have to take the wheel off to see it, these do break alot. nah didnt get the GTR ones, i got the 18 x 8 chrome vipers that he had, hes sold the GTR ones he had. but the ones i got do look pretty good, i think the chrome suits the colour of the car. Cam.

mine face backwards towards the rear of the car, maybe thats why?? it doesnt effect the sound inside the car, it still sounds good, but outside sounds shocking, rattle rattle rattle, all the time!! mite have to take the bumper off and have a closer look, cause if i put pressure on the bumper (the bit below the panel which says "skyline") most of the rattle dissapears. i dunno about the RSM cause mine says i do i 13.68 1/4 mile time??? which i dont rekon would be correct, and thats with the G-Sensor connected to it aswell?? i suppose ill have to take it down to the 'Plex to see what it actually does, but i seriously doubt it will be a 13.68. not unless something has been done to my 'line that i dont know about, by the previous owner. try un-locking the passenger door after it has auto-locked while your driving, it really spun one of my passengers out, cause it just kept locking the door continuosly :lol: Cam.

i have 2 12" subs in the boot of my 33, and am just wanting to know if anyone has had problems with rattles, i turn the bass up a bit and the whole boot area sounds like its gonna rattle to pieces, some was coming from the number plate, thats easy to stop, but it seems as though the rest in coming from the rear bumper, anyone know how to fix all these rattles??? thats exactly what i thought, they wouldn't change something if it didn't need improving, they would try new things and test new things and implement the changes on the newer models. Cam.

i recently saw a white R33 GTST here in Perth with a badge on the rear, which i thought was a "GTR" badge but on a closer look it actually said "GTS", in same spot as "GTR" badge usually is. it looked real good, anyone know where i can get one from???

hasn't the 2002 bug eyed wrx got less power than the ones before??? and agree'd about the 32 being more of a sports car, and the 33, well could class as a sports/tourer :lol: Cam.
