holy shit that wing is high!
looks awesome in that first pic but not sure I like the other angles.
Will have to decide when I see it in the flesh.
Sounds sweet though so congrats to the new owner.
how much did you get the engine for if you don;t mind me asking?
also how old was it?
I guess you;ve done the maths but I thought it was cheaper to build up an rb25 with new parts than buy a second hand motor with parts that are generally 80k+ kms old.
I'm not bagging, I'd love nothing more than to have an RB26DETT in my car too but by the sounds of it you're looking for bang for buck.
Just curious as to how much it all costed or will cost to do the conversion and what sort of engine state (40,000ks? 100000ks?) you end up with afterwards.
Cheers
so 14psi would be ok in short bursts?
I live in tas and its pretty cold down here all the time. like 14degrees is a warm day! Would it be ok to run 14psi every once in a while?
I got fully comprehensive with just cars. pay right on $1000 per year.
Includes all my mods (wheels, bodykit, FMIC, SAFCII, exhaust)
I'm 22 and have rating 1.
R33 gtst.
oh and an agreed value of 18k.
adam, I only pulled 170rwkw in my r33 gtst after the tune.
Dave said it was fairly conservative as the premium down here kinda sucks (95RON).
He said when we get 98RON we'll advance the timing and up the boost to reach around 190-200rwkw.
So there is not much point in having a atmo bov?
Mines had one since I got it but I also have the standard one. My car goes through a tonne of petrol and backfires all the time when changing gear. I didn;t realise this was due to the bov.
Should I go back to the standard or get a new better bov?
posting in this part of the forum sucks as no one reads it.
Anyway I was hoping people might post pics etc. What you paid (rough estimate). Where you got em.
I've just had my car wheels balanced to find that all 4 are buckled. It was shaking at around 100kms so that's what prompted me to get them checked.
Now I'm on the lookout for new wheels.
Here is a pic of the car:

Something around 17". I have 18s now and the tyres cost a fair bit more.
What sort suit the r33 gtst (wine red) best? I'd like to stay away from chrome too. Takes to long to clean them. Also would like something fairly light, these chromies were bloody heavy!
What shops have decent prices?
I'd like to get them from somewhere like bob jane's where I can pay them off over 12 months but I don't think they have the brands I will be after.
Ideas? Suggestions? Don't worry about cost for now, just want to see whats out there.
1. Datsun 120Y while on Ls and paddock basher
2. Mazda 323 '82 shitbox while on Ps
3. Mits Mirage in last year of Ps until sum1 t-boned me (not my fault)
4. Nissan Skyline R33 gtst
time to time used parents cars: Mits Pajero, VX SII Commondore S, BA V8 fairmont.
Anyone know much about them?

this is the first one i've ever seen and was wondering if anyone knew what they were like and how much power they put out. Must be ok for a 2.5L twin turbo awd.
I think they look pretty sweet. Might be a good family car with the line for fun.
