for those of u who have managed to work it out :starwars:)

im looking at the english safc.pdf from apexi...

and looking at the safc2 manuals in jap...

and too be honest.. i have nfi

are the wires in same color configuration as before?

there are an additional 2 more....

is it possible to just wire it up as per safc1 diagrams..

and guess work the others? or is that bad for the ecu health? im working on the assumption here that they still are still color coded the same way..

yellow - air out

white - air in

brown - ground

red - power

green - rpm

pink - ?

orange - ?

purple - ?

blue - ?

grey - ground ?

by the looks of things the ground has now moved to the last pin.. near teh IG power?

that leaves the last 4 connectors to the 2nd and 3rd pins looking left to right on the n4-a diagram..

perhaps better still... for a 93 series 1 r33... how to? :)

cheers

Hey dude, i also have an AFC-2... your in luck aswell... i spent hours friggen translating the colors of the wires to match the diagram in the manual... most of the wires are the same colors and have same jobs as the previous SAFC when translated they are...

Red = IG power

Green = RPM signal

Brown = Ground

Black = Ground

Grey = Throttle

Purple = Knock sensor?

Blue = Used for twin turbo set ups with the extra yellow "Y" shaped wire provided, where there is two AFM signals that must be intercepted

Yelow = Air flow/Pressure signal OUTPUT

White = Air flow/Pressure signal INPUT

*Orange = Sustitute Air flow/Pressure signal

*Pink = Sustitute Air flow/Pressure signal

****Not sure what these are used for**** (possibly non turbo set up? Not sure.

K now to use these colors... from left to right on the N4a R33 GTS-t ECU diagram i have narried it down to:

1) Green

2) Purple (check ECU for empty pin cos it can be either of the two pins

3) Air flow wires (white and yellow)

4) Grey

5) Red

6) Ground (grey and black)

Only thing i can't work out is what the pink & orange wires are for... i know the blue is used for twin turbo set ups where there is two air flow/pressure signals due to dual air flow meters, but the orange and pink wires don't seem to come up... i think they are used for non turbo aplications maybe?

Also the only thing i have not worked out is why there is two possible wiring diagrams on pages 8 & 9 of the wiring book. The one on page 9 uses the pink and orange wires as the air flow intercept wires where as the diagram on page 8 uses the white and yellow configeration. Not sure why there would be two?

Let me know how u go.

hey there :P

i had a go and wiring this sucker up today...

and lets just say.. i didnt get very far...

that n4-a diagram isnt the same as my car...

ahahahhaha.. my ecu is missing that wire as shown in the diagram.. [edit] thats the rpm wire.... stupid thing

i've given up.. haha.. i think i'll just pay someone to fix my mess.. and get it tuned.. i swear it isnt meant to be this hard..

The MAF(Hot wire type) and AFM(flap door type) use a voltage signal from the meter to the ECU.

The Karman type sends a frequnecy.

My guess it that White and yellow are for most of us.

The Pink & Orange are for the Kar/Vortex guys.

Damn i wish took i Japanese in 2nd'ry skool :)

a round about process but one way is to copy out the acrobat text and paste it on to the altavista language translator

http://babelfish.altavista.com/

you will need full version of acrobat and a program to break the encryption on the acrobat file, both are available on the net.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
