A few of those have been around for a coupleof years now

I think it was ACA that did a feature on some guy with a black VU Commodore SS ute that had a huge "THIS CAR IS A LEMON" sticker up the side of the car

At least the guy's got new car warranty behind him, I know what it's like to be stuck with an old lemon that needed a fix every week or two

lol I'd love to see a skyline driver try that shit about their car... "sent a letter to NISSAN, they offered me a pat on the back and told me to fcuk off and die". At least he got a free service, If it was that faulty I'd be selling it as soon as the warranty period was over.

The XR6Turbo is a awsome car and great value for money.

Very few have problems, but the ones that do are generally fixed under the new car warranty. I know the guy who owns that car and his problems are mainly due to his pathetic dealer. This seems to be the biggest problem with Ford is their woeful dealer service network. They will try to weasel their way out of warranty work, but if you are persistant, the problems are fixed eventually.

My XR6T is my first Ford, but I have just ordered a FPV typhoon as a replacement, so I guess you could say I am happy overall. While I had some issues with my car, I did not take the dealers BS and all the problems were sorted out.

welcome to last year!

i was going to say the same thing, but its a different car this time...both were XR6T's though...

that being said, thats 2 out of a shit load that have been sold...every manufacturer has lemons, thats what happens in mass production.

being a big ford fan i was on a ford forum for some time before coming here and buying a skyline, and ive heard all about fords terrible excuse for customer service.

they got the cars right with the BA series, but customer service went completely down the drain

yeh i rekon xr6t are good, the problem is the production line, usually the faulty ones are the ones that they rush on a friday orvo to fininsh building, or they leave them on a friday arvo half done for someone else to fininsh on a monday, i have found thats the common problem.

Oh theres definately lots of lemons around. Back in Feburary 2005 Motor tested a Typhoon and the first day they had it the clutch f**ked up hardcore and couldnt be driven so Ford rushed them out another typhoon and after 8 laps around winton the Clutch in that f**ked up aswell and couldnt be driven at all.

hahahhaha ford Accused them of flat shifting (Keeping the gas on while sihfting gears), while they said they didnt do that at all they raised the issue of why this wouldnt of then been tested anyhow knowing that certain drivers would do this.

Seen a Territory on the northern beaches with a big similar sticker saying what a piece of shit lemon it was raving on for ages and ages.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
