Tacho meter Problems...

Hi guys!

I have few problem with my tacho...

When I start the car the Tacho goes up to 3000rpm and stays there! it moves little bit when I accelerates... but still stuck on 3000k.

when I turn ignition the tacho comes back to zero so it's not stuck...

The car runs fine just that my tacho is out and stuck @ 3000rpm... no major problem but it bugs me.

weekends I took it out and put GTR dash then it worked fine! so it's not ECU problem it's just my tacho...

one of guy at the garage said it'll be easyer to put after market tacho... rather than trying to fix it!.

ohh.. well I could but GTR dash.. I guess.

Anyone know how to fix this problem or had similar experience?

How much does it cost buy after market tachos?

ps.since my car is N/A it polly think it's boost guage from out side LOL

take it to applied instruments in balcatta

they are very good

or go commodore-style and get the biggest monster tacho and shiftlight combination you can find, then mount it in the worst possible place on the dash
