Hi Guys and gals,

Where do I get the lock nuts for HR Racing Wheels? I got the Barri-Nut lock nuts - but they are not the right size. Im guessing that only the specific HR Racing lock nuts will fit my rims. Can someone tell me where to get them in Vic?

Thanks :P

p.s I have attached the pic of my rims as well - if anyone knows where I can get hte right lock nuts - please let me know :D

There is another thing thats bugging me about the car - the turbo timer on it is a Starbo RS-1500 timer (apparently its an auto/remote start combination with the turbo timer) - the thing is its all in japanese. Its got 6 little levers that is either up or down - lever 1 says "ON" - but it doesnt do anything. Sometimes it works for about a minute, other times it doesnt at all. Can anyone shed some light on this as well. im guessing I will need to get another turbo timer - but I have to wait for a bit. If anyone has this, or knows how it works, please let me know. :D

Thanks all.

if it works on n off, try switching the key position to off without the door being opened or your foot on the brake pedal, cuz sometimes these are set to bypass the turbo timer. That is in the event u dont want the turbo time to be running, you can jus open the door or have your foot on the pedal and switch the car off....

about the right size lock nuts, just go to any bob-jane t-mart, they seem to have everything....good thing is, if it doesnot fit they give a replacement then n there....i have been gettin all the work done from the oakleigh one.(corner of prin hwy and warrigal road).

Ok, guys - i got the turbo timer running - but even when I am driving normally (lets say for about 10 minutes), and after i get back home, turn off the engine - it keeps running for about 2 minutes. Is this normal? or have I actually got a faulty turbo timer?

If this is indeed faulty - whats the best turbo timer to get. I was told the Apexi turbo timers are excellent, and cost about $120 to buy.

Thanks in advance.

thans for the reply nate - its just that I went to get pizza (about 4-5 mins from my house) - I stop the car and it was on for 2 mins - so i was just thinking -thats a bit excessive....

what tt is it? if the instructions are jap chances are the auto mode isnt hooked up right? AFAIK, its just 12v/ign/acc and thats it i think, i have a manual one which is set to 2mins all the time.

as i put on one of the posts above -> its a Starbo RS-1500

Its all in japanese - and I have no idea what the 12v/ign/acc is......:D

the only way I will find out i guess, is after i get back from a long drive.. and see how it goes - or I can post a pic of the turbo timer up tommorrow....

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
