showing my ignorace but whats OCAU?

Overclockers Australia

www.overclockers.com.au

It was primarily an overclocking website but now its a very big forum with a wide variety of areas, motoring, science, sports, current events and of course all the computer related stuff. If your into geeky stuff or endless arguments you'll probably find something to interest yourself there.

hey yeh 2 grande to build just a system is plenty for the average gamer (not in retail) i never look at retail prices nowadays so maybe 2 gs isnt that much for a box (no mon), i spent 3 gs whole sale on my comp and its running a treat, but dont future proof urself when buying a computer... theres no such thing, young kids just tell it to their parents to try and buy better equipment. :(

lol i spent about 4g on this rig over time got rid (not by choice) of my x850XT PE for a x1900xtx

but yeah HDTV and all the good bits when brand new

CPU+Ram was $1000

Mobo+PSU was $650

LCD was $700 3 years ago

and the list goes on ...

a quick $2,000 PC no monitor hopefully youve got 1

maybe SAZilla can do the same to show a comparison of a asus system

keep in mind these arnt the skimpiest parts and system could be built cheaper but there not the deaest parts either its a nice comprimise

Have a look at www.umart.com.au

System looks nice only problem might be the power supply most prob need a 400watt min.

You can get the ga-965p-ds3 which is the same motherboard as the one u listed but without the intergrated graphics which you dont need so its cheaper.

i like to build them with intergrated just in case you have to RMA the gfx card your not left without a basic PC

and yeah would probably get @ least a 350w PSU but you wouldnt have to as my dads case has a 350 generic and it runs my xtx fine so a 300w would be ok for a PRO card

alot of these website arnt good for ppls that dont know what there looking @ its a bunch of pages with prices and pictures if Nick doesnt know which motherboard goes with which CPU then thats why hes here asking for help

if anyone wants 20-22 inch widescreen monitors... talk to me. under 600 dollars, great for alot of things including u fellas with xbox 360s needing something cheap and moderately big to play games using 1080dpi Hi Definition.

Actually thats the going price these days. Check out www.staticice.com.au

The viewsonic 2025 is one I picked up and its fantastic (21" widescreen). Got it for $550 delivered a few months ago.

yeah im thinking 22" 1080i for 600 very hard to find that since you dont get 1920x1200 until you hit the 24" screen

EDIT

OMG OMG

FP222W 22"WIDE,5ms,300nits,700:1,D-SUB,DVI-D,1680x1050,SILVER/BLACK BenQ

or far more amazing

FP241W 24"WIDESCREEN,500nits,1000:1,6ms,DSUB,DVI-D,HDMI,SVID,BLACK BenQ

$259.00

I just rang them and both of those prices were entered incorrectly (no big surprise).

But I have been looking at these (OCAU did a group buy on these recently, but this price beats even that) :

Chimei 22" WS

lol tell em its in black and white i want 10 of each monitors

EDIT

Chimei 221A 22" WS

You want to look at the 221D as it has dvi. If you want to have a look at the chimei monitors in action jb hifi in marion has one setup.

    • Physically, you'd expect it to turn the motor 11/8ths faster than a standard one, but I'm not sure of specifics
    • Ironically the GTT was quite reliable in the 7 years of ownership. From memory I've only had to replace a radiator and coilpacks out of inconvenience
    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
