some background info to the problem:

i currently have sII coils (amp. inside coil) installed on my RB25, but nr.6 has blown...

since sII coils seen to be generally bad (dont start a discussion plz), i now want to replace with coils from the RB26 which has the amp. externally...

i have an ign.amp. from a sI RB25 lying around in my garage...

the two questions resulting would be:

1) will the RB26 coils be compatible with my currently installed wiring/plugs from the sII RB25 setup?

2) will the RB25 ign. amp. be able to work with the RB26 coils?

Nico

Have you considered Splitfires?

Bing a hotly discussed topic of late, for $600 and 30mins labour (yourself) its almost hard to beat bang for the buck.

Reason being you could well encounter the same problem with the RB26 coil and then you are back to square one, and none the better off financially.

There are things like removing the centre cover etc to aid the coils in some cooling (regardless of coil used)

ps. SII coils are fine. I ran 330rwkw through mine for 6 months solid. 270rwkw before that.

cheers.
