Hi steve,

Do you have any in stock for a R34 GTT semi-auto? and i've read before that these don't have the trans-oil cooling, has that changed or will I still need the external transcooling kit? how much would it be for both to Brisbane?

Thanks

Dylan.

Hi Dylan, you would still need to run a seperate transmission cooler on your Automatic ER34.

The cost of the transmission cooler depends on which core size you select - Please have a look at our website using the URL below and let me know which size you would prefer then I will provide you with a total cost.

Ok, thanks Steve, only one problem there's not much room left? with the radiator, air-con, intercooler and engine-oil cooler where can I fit the trans cooler?? Or is there one that could combine engine and trans cooling?? dunno help needed?

Thanks

Dylan.

Dylan, what you think is your engine oil cooler is actually your trans oil cooler (unless you took the trans oil cooler off and put an engine oil cooler in its place). I bought a JustJap radiator and put in a Davies Craig trans cooler where the oem oil cooler was. Then I put a JustJap engine oil cooler in the passenger side between the wheel and the bumper bar. I am actually thinking of putting the stock trans oil cooler back in to add to the trans oil cooling since I have actually reduced the volume of trans oil due to removing the radiator cooling section from the system. I plan to put the oem trans oil cooler in series, in the drivers side between the wheel and the bumper bar. I have some pics of the install if you are interested. It is a fairly easy job in terms of technical ability, but you need an amazing amount of different tools and pretty much a whole day to do it.

I did radiator, trans cooler, engine oil cooler and changed turbo in one very busy weekend.

Sweet Nightcrawler, yeh I nearly understood most of that, um i think :) ! Would love to see your pics to help me out, haven't played round with cars for a few years so just starting out again with my new hottie, and like any good woman she's already costing me heaps!

So did you manage to fit the 16" fan on? cause I couldn't on the standard rad without being bodgy and lifting it out over the tank at the bottom. I went twin 12's but since I have to get a new rad, i may aswell try to change this at the same time.

EDITED

Well I've ordered the justjap radiator, and you were spot on nightcrawler it is an oe trans cooler, so if i just change the rad and keep the original cooler will that be ok for a while until i can upgrade to a bigger oil cooler?

or steve maybe you could point me in the right direction too?

Thanks heaps for the advice

Dylan.

Thanks for all the orders guys - We have plenty more in stock ready for immediate pickup and delivery.

Cheers,

Steve

Just letting you know I received my new rad from JustJap yesterday!

Only ordered it on the weekend and received it on Tuesday, nice service Steve!

So I'm putting twin 12" thermos on (because I had them, but I still think the 16" would be hard to fit)

I still need some advice on the trans-cooling, what size should I go now that I've lost the radiator capacity. something that would fit in the oem place.

Cheers

Dyl.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
