meanman
Hi guys I got a A31 and it has the softest suspension ever, owned a R31 before this and even that was stiffer. Ive looked around everywhere for what suspension the ceffies take. Yes ive checked the Cefiro Substitute Parts List. But before Im going to spend the 2k+ I just want to confirm this. 1. If I buy a full set of coilovers for a S13 these are a bolt on fit? Correct? 2. Is this the same deal with the front and rear sway bar. All links etc are the same as the S13? 3. Mechanical diffs. This car is factory RB20DET so I assume R200 diff which is the same as s13-s15 and R32-R34 So I should be able to buy any mechanical diffs which were designed for these and will fit my car. I believe you have to be carefull with the housings though as some are 5 or 6 bolt so I might have to check the housings out if I buy a second hand one thats already in a housing. Most of these parts are easily sourced but Im having some difficulty trying to track down swaybars. Even on nissan Silvia site. What brand did you guys get and where from and how much? Thanks heaps guys. Sorry for the newb questions but I have been looking with the search button. kudos.motorsports
The A31s and C33 run an R180 diff, if you wanted to run an R200 you will require the drive shafts too. dangerous_daveo
And if you got the dosh, get the SK suspension. He hasnt got group buys for the S13 stuff, but he can do it up. Its going to be a way nicer ride than jap coilovers. meanman
Just another note. Are you guys able to tell me if R32 sway bars will fit the ceffy? Im pretty sure the fronts are totally different what about the back? I managed to find a cheapo aftermarket swaybar for a R32 and it wont fit my car, obviously im assuming there different here then or is it the good old build quality from whiteline? (which is hopeless) What suspension setups are you guys running? SK would be good, but budget wont stretch that far? I was thinking of either HSD or isc-coilovers 8/6. Would you guys use whiteline adjustable or cusco non adjustable for sway bars? Is it worth paying the lil extra for cusco or just stick with whiteline? Cusco $700 for the pair delivered. Whiteline I think works out to be a be around $480 or something delivered. dangerous_daveo
You need S13 sway bars. Whitelines would be good. What do you want to do with the car tho. If you can strech to the SK stuff, its a fair wack better. Resin
If you wait a bit skyline kid is getting one made up for the ceffy at the moment ....modelled off my stock one. I think its close to finish... but if you get the s13 ones get the blade adjustable sr20 ones .......thats what i have in my car and they fit fine. but one designed for the ceffy maybe better!.
