Name That Noise!

k, car has got one month before warranty runs out and now it's makin noises. Need to figure out wat it is so it can be repaired under warranty, so needing some help to find out wat the hell is making these noises.

1. Pulley sound from engine area, did a search b4 found out that it's a common sound wid the lines. Recently tho, it's getting louder and more frequent and only goes away when u push the clutch in. Is this normal or am I just being paranoid?

2. Had a recent event that had the idle 'hunting' and the car not boosting properly. Day after, the engine idle hunting stopped but now there's a sound like a high pitched sound like there's an air leak somewhere when u push down the accelerator while driving. Sometimes tho u can smell oil after a drive.

I'm taking guesses here, but i'm thinking might be the exhaust gasket or exhaust manifold, or a blown turbo. Dunno, is there any way i check to find out wat the hell it is?!

Any advice is appreciated.

1. Could be a input shaft bearing on the gear box, but the fact that it sounds like its coming from the front of the engine could point to excessive crankshaft end float, (push clutch in it pushes crank forward).

2. An intake air leak will definately cause hunting, especially with AFM's.

The idle hunting has stopped hasnt done it since that night, cleaned the afm to be sure. Hasnt come back at all, so maybe the air leak sound is not from AFM. Maybe turbo?
