Split Dumps On A Gtr + Turbo Manifolds

Ok lets begin.

i'd like to hear from people who have installed split dumps on their car, was there a difference? are they worth all they are worth? i think a decent set sets you back around 600ish?

now as for manifolds.

i understand that the cast jobs are excelent because they hold the heat a whole lot better than say stainless job, but i am looking into stainless with lets say a heat coating on them,

anyone gone into something similar like this and results they have got themselves?

P.S. the whole tomei set, is 128000Y about $1500

there is 850 for the whole hks setup

the tomei looks like it flows alot more tho. 76.3mm compared to hks which is an actual split job. 60.5mm with 38mm wastegate.

but now that i look at that there is a big difference when added up

do split dumps do their job. this is another questions

So the larger rear A/R housing?

If using the stock size, manifold pointless.

But if its larger then yeah. You'll get benefits in the manifold department.

Only thing is you wanna make sure they are of good quality. Last thing you want is it cracking. Would be a costly mission to fix

When i have searched i havnt come up with the exact questions i am asking.

most people are just putting a split dump on std trubos and what not.

i'm looking for a more direct answer.

they are bb, well spin for about a minute or so when car is switched off. so i guess thats bb,

car definatley makes around or over 300kw running about 1.4 bar. but no dyno as yet. few things to be done before i do that, as i have fcon pro v and waiting on the navigator pro so i can have a bit of a fiddle on a mates dyno, or he will as he knows a bit more about that than me

so your saying a set of manifolds would only be really helpful if i had the largest size of 34n1's whats the easiest way to work out exactly what turbo i have, p.s. all the shrouds are still on.

i'd also get any set of manifolds and dumps coated to hold heat in.

What do you mean a more direct answer?

Its essentially me guessing based on the information that isnt given (turbo A/R size)

Basically if they are the stock size A/R... then not really worth it.

Have a look inside the turbine housing and you'll see why, it bottlenecks down so much that you really wont get more in there no matter what you do

Larger A/R, loads more room to fill. Will get good gains from getting more flow into it.

Thats just my opinion based on what ive seen and been informed about etc etc etc

Others will probably say on the stocker size A/R you will get gains. I just doubt the cost is worth the gain.

I work on a bang for buck. No point doing something if you can spend the $$ elsewhere for better return

Its upto you to find the ID plate on the turbo.

You'll need some tricky angle work to see it, or one of those funky beny view things that work in tight places :(

Plus the beny thing is just cool to begin with.
