well after reading what funkymonkey said in a previous post.....

I'll probably change the section name to "Cefiros Australia" and point the domain name www.cefirosaustralia.com to it soon.

i'm jumping the gun here as he hasn't redirected the domain yet but just seeing who would possibly be interested in some www.cefirosaustralia.com stickers (same format as the standard SAU ones)?

I'm in.

Hey funky - can I redirect cefiroz here too and use that?

It sounds cooler and since noone contributes to the site it may be a better idea to move it into part of the SAU forum and have a Tutorial section for cefiros or something?

Idea everyone?

cool sounds like an idea a31rb25.

yeah possible idea someonestolecc. means most the ceffy stuff in australia is in the one place.

having a sub forum like the stagea do with thier classifieds section thou for tutorials and articles would be sweet.

Cef31, the old SAU web address stickers look like this but with white print

Thou obviously we could design our own better ones...thou i lack the skills to do that..

cheers for that, i had a quick stuff around with photoshop earlier, came up with these in all of about 2mins, just an idea of how something very basic can still look decent

plan is to add the cefiro badge behind it, or even layer the cefiro badge over a map of australia and then have something underneath/through the badge & map.

hmm PranK owns the domain name for cefirosaustralia.com

I'm in the process of setting up the domain to come directly to the cefiro section rather than the main SAU forum and cause confusion.

As for making cefiroz do the same, I dunno... I like cefiroz coz of its tutes and guides n shizzle... dunno how easy it'll be to integrate the forum into that...

UNLESS...

we set up cefiroz and ceifrosaustralia to go to a seperate webpage, which then links to the cefiros section of SAU as the website forum.

As for the stickers/url's... gimme a lil while to whip something up. I saw a couple of cool designs in the japanese/thai cefiro clubs that we could adapt with some aussie flavouring.

or even somthing as simple as...

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
