I think it would be a good idea, if we perhaps got some sort of list with good workshops going. I know we can't say bads things about workshops or garages, but if we got a list of shops people have been to, or regularly go to would be great. There's so many 'performance' places around, but how many are good ? Basically anyone who knows turbo's and skylines.

Ok these are the people that I have used for various bits and pieces and they have all be very good and professional and are all familiar with skylines and imports.

Drive Car Automotive

2C/88 Lever Street

Albion Brisbane

PH: 38624522

Speak to Mark

I get my car serviced here, he is a good honest guy and doesn't charge the earth. Knows skylines and most other imports pretty well.

Gavin Woods Autotech

1/23 Gibbs Street

Labrador

PH 55292313

Fixed my wheel bearing at a reasonable price :P I will be going back to get my SAFC fitted and tuned as they are very good with Nissans and Apexi gear.

Rob Bliss Exhausts

264 Robinson Road

Geebung Brisbane

32652044

Fitted up my exhaust. Did a good job at a great price. They are very helpful with suggestions plenty of suggestions on how to get the sound you want, how to eliminate drone etc.

I have been screwed around by a lot of other places in Brisbane with my current car, but the three above have all been very helpful and professional and will continue to get my business and recommendations.

Subzero Performance.

quite a few quick cars have come out of the shop with alot more to come in the future.

gts-t's: 10.9 @ 127mph

10.6 @ 127mph

10.06 @ 139mph

GTR: 3-4 GTR's 11.7-11.8 @ 118mph+

11.3 @ 130mph

there should be a few more gts-t coming out in the next 2-3 months that should run 10's no probs.

nearly everything is made in house, from inlet plenium, exhaust manifolds, intercoolers, radiators, oil coolers, exhausts systems, flywheels, external wastegates and much more. not to many places can say they make everything in house.

Yes but have any of you actually had them do any work on your cars? I think places that you have actually had first hand experience with are more relevant to this thread than reports that "these guys are ok cause I heard it from my mate whoe heard it from a friend of a friend who read it on the net somwhere".

Nothing against Subzero at all, they could be the bee's knees but how about a comment from people who have actually had work done? What you had done, what the cost was like, what the service was like, what the quality of work was like.

i'm currently getting work done there (subzero). RB30/26, T76 turbo, custom plenium & exhaust manifold, big cooler, 62mm external wastegate, lunati rods, ARP stud kit & bolts, oil coolers, very similar motor to TRY09's but with a few improvements. i've had no probs with the boys there. good quality work, many cars have been featured in Zoom, street commodores, hot4's etc...

Hi guys,

I use APC on Brisbane's southside. They seem to be pretty good to me. So far they have replaced my coils, installed boost controller & guage and serviced the car.

They also work on a yellow mistu evo 3 that ran at the drag combat. And other performance cars. So I guess they are doing something right.

Eek

    • I'd be very surprised if you can buy new OEM mats. But if you can, I want some too!  Do you have links to the variations you found? Also, where are you located? I found that Nengun is happy to list items to purchase but when you do buy them you'll get an email that it's actually discontinued. As far as I know the variations in floor mats are different colour schemes as well as automatic and manual having a slightly different shape. The automatic ones fit into a manual car without issues, but I think you'd have trouble fitting the other way around. I have photos that show the shape difference if you care. FWIW I bought sets of used floor mats in decent condition at yahoo auctions.
    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
    • Hi, Marek here 🙋‍♂️. I finally fulfilled my longtime dream - recently bought Stagea and now waiting for it to arrive in Poland. There's only few of these in my country, and one of the owners  recommended mi this forum as a source of all the info i'd need since now i own one  so here i am.
    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
