NuGGeT
i also would like one of these decks, however they are a fair price but still look sweet as Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/12478-pioneer-deh-p8450-mp/#findComment-228920 Share on other sites
The Tool
Only complaints I have are that it doesn't auto-scroll the track name/artist etc -u have to hold down a button for it. Oh and the steering wheel remote sometimes does not "talk" to the headunit. Other than that, 4V rca's, seperate sub control, sexy face and playing MP3's is pretty darn good. I'm glad I spent the money tho. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/12478-pioneer-deh-p8450-mp/#findComment-231586 Share on other sites
NuGGeT
yeh i love the look of it, i just cant justify spending over a grand atm for a deck Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/12478-pioneer-deh-p8450-mp/#findComment-231587 Share on other sites
Evil
i think I'll get one. I had a pioneer stereo in my old car and could not find any faults. I'll just have to shop around to get the best price. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/12478-pioneer-deh-p8450-mp/#findComment-231942 Share on other sites
Brody
Ive got the 9400, and ill agree with everything tool said. The biggest thing that shits me is the scroll! apart from that, not a fault, 6v preout is pretty nice for the amp Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/12478-pioneer-deh-p8450-mp/#findComment-240601 Share on other sites
Knat
Yeah I've got a Pioneer DEH-P8450 MP. I also agree with Tool's comments, my only real gripe is the scrolling functionand it is a little slow to load mp3's compared to the other deck I was tossing up against (Alpine FantomFace). It is very customisable, but really havent had much of a play with it yet or got the CD-TEXT to work on some of my burnt cd's. I presume it has it? It is a schmick looking unit with a funky display and it plays MP3's so i'm happy! Still one of the best MP3 decks on the market in my opinion.. craz0
I've got the US premier version of the same head unit, Only bad thing about it that annoys me is the remote want talk to the deck sometimes. Other then that for me it’s great. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/12478-pioneer-deh-p8450-mp/#findComment-243278 Share on other sites

Was the best thing I've bought for my car nearly and I picked it up for $650 second hand. More than happy with the deck! Best money i've spent in a long time! skysaresilver
yeah i've got one of those as well - awersome head unit, pretty much the same complaints as the other guys though, couldn't be happier with it and i can justify spending the money that i did cause it really is worth it!!! paid $1050 from autobarn at one of their sales a few months ago... i was pretty happy with that price then as it was something like $500 bucks off rrp. In relation to why it takes so long to load mp3's, i'm pretty sure it's got something to do with the fact that it - the headunit - rebuilds the mp3 or more the wave of the song to give a clearer song - was told this by the rep from autobarn when i enquired about the new alpine 2003 headunits and he said that they do the same thing which is why they also take a fair while to load a mp3 song. I final thing... i wish it had some more screensavers though... they are so cool :-) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/12478-pioneer-deh-p8450-mp/#findComment-314330 Share on other sites
