All,

I am able to get my hands on about 10 sets of NEW race slicks. They are Falken RS003 240 x 610 x 17". This is similar deal to the Toyo R888 tyres I found last month.

I originally thought they are were going to be around the $200 mark but the actual landed price is $275 each.

Post up or PM my if you want a set.

Thanks

so when you say race slicks.. they will deffinately be illegal on the street?

if they are street legal, im intrested

Ummm no, race tyres with no wet wheather groves are not road legal. Sorry!

paul sorry I missed your call, I need 4 of them :D $1100 right?

Do they have more than one compund available?

610 is the total diameter of the tyre in mm, around 240/37/17

But anyway, thats good enough for a line if your run 4 together.

I originally thought they are were going to be around the $200 mark but the actual landed price is $275 each.

Yes, you missed this ;)

I would think that unless you are very serious, a set of semi-slicks (Re55s or similar) at 400ea that you can drive to the track on would be a better deal.

But this is a good price if you were thinking about slicks they are generally 350+ each.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
