Gear Selector Detaches From Gearbox When Quick Changing, Y!?!? Please Help

Hey guys basically i have an R34 gbox in my HR31, and for some reason with my short shifter (did the same with standard shifter aswell) whenever i quick change into mainly third gear aggressively at high RPM the selector pretty much detaches itself from the box kinda and goes reeeally lose, u then jst nudge it around after u obviously back off and it finds it self back in again and goes back to normal..

It was doing the same thing before when i had an r32 selector on the R34 box, i thought then the reason was because i didnt have the right selector, but it is now still doing it with my short shifter.. Im confused! I really want this fixed so that i can give the car a go at calder, still havnt ran it.

By the way i just wana clear the the box doesnt pop out of gear or anything like that, it is purely jst the box somehow detaching from the box..

Please help out, let me know what it could be, how to fix it or who to go to!

Do you have the two circlips correctly attached ?

If they are not attached correctly, they won't hold in the selector and it may pop out.

there arnt any circlips with the short shifter...

The circlips clip into the top of the box, and hold the shifter in. They will be part of the original box, and shifter.. you're meant to transfer them across. I don't think new shifters comes with new circlips.

Take a photo of where the shifter goes into the box, and I can probably tell if they are missing or not.
