I have a PFC D jetro and a Blitz SBC R in my car. I get boost reading on the Blitz but like the the graphical format on the hand contoller. Is there anyway of getting boost reading on the hand controller with this setup? Doesn't the D jetro has 2 map sensors? Why couldn't Apexi show boost on the hand controller? Is there any software fix for this?

The two map sensors are manifold pressure for the guesstimation of airflow to work out engine load. Whilst they look at the same base item it wont provide Boost on the hand controller. The powerfc FAQ (in my sig) tells you how to hook up half the boost control kit to get boost displayed on the hand controller, it lists the denso map sensor part no also

Thanks for the reply paul,

I just read your database and it is very informative.

It is quite interesting. The D-jetro has 2 map sensors. Both of them plug into the boost controller kit port on the pfc to get power. The signal wires from the MAP sensors hook up to the MAF signal on the ECU.

Would it be safe to piggy back one of the MAP sensor signal and feed that into the boost controller kit port?

Would this work? Has anyone done it before?

Alternatively I can get another Denso sensor + harness like you suggested. Might be safer this way. Do you know where is the easiest place to get the the Denso map sensor? Thx again.

piggybacking one of the two map sensors onto the boost kit sensor doesn't sound safe. i wouldnt want to try that. it might go bang and fry an expensive ecu. not sure where u could get the denso one from. www.nengun.com has the boost kit in bits if you want that, as in the legit apexi map sensor

hmmmm so it should cost around $200 for this exercise to get a third denso sensor under the bonnet and a boost reading on the pfc hc :) Probably not well spent money.

Paulr33, does FC datalogit give out boost reading for a basic D-jetro setup?

datalogit reads all the sensors the powerfc does, so if you have a working boost readout on the hand controller it will appear in the datalogit logs. if you have no working boost sensor, then boost will appear as 0 all the time
