how would i go about installing that chip into my ecu?

is it a diy-able job or needs an electrician?

you need to have a socket soldered in your ECU where the current eprom is. I got mine done at a electronics repair place. I took in my ECU waited less than 20min and it was done for $25:)

it is a really easy job for an electronics repair place.
