Removed The Rear Wing

I just took off my rear wing, and left on the boot is patches of rubber which is stuck to the boot. I have tried everything under the sun to get the stuff off but it wont budge. Surely someone has taken off their wing and had the same problem.

How can I get this rubber stuff off?

Any oil based solvent like prepsol or turps.

I used turps and scrubbed and scrubbed...it did a bit but not a great deal. Any particular item i can scrub with other than a cloth? Doesnt seem to be "abrasive" enough to cut through the rubber? The rubber strip is quite substantial

Ok next step is a heat gun and a razor blade. Be careful.

Finally got most of it off with turps...spent a good hour just scrubbing the absolute shit out of it. Will have to wait until tomorrow to see how good the job really is

Hair dryer and meguires paint cleaner.

Yeah it takes a while cos it's not a strong solvent but if you go too strong you take paint off too. Not what you want.

what have u used to plug up the holes? tape or some grommets?

i took mine off a while back and just taped them up, but ive put the wing back on cos i looked cheap with tape..

need to get it to a panel beater and have it smoothed i guess..
