hi all i thought i should post up some pics of my car as i have had it for a while but have been lazy.

i brought it as a pretty stock turbo auto 4 door.

so far its copped the following mods:

pedders lowered springs

nismo 260 dash

tomei boost gauge

omori exhaust gauge

HKS turbo timer and EBC

drift pineapples

hicas lock bar

front and rear sway bar.

a few sets of rims.

GTR front mount (not fitted)

RDA slotted rotors

bendix pads

just to name a few.

it was in fairly average condition when i got it so ive replaced the drivers side mirror, passenger side vent and

have had to do the water pump but its all been fun.

hope you all enjoy the pics.

Nice Damo, Love the tail lights too and I like what you have done with the boost gauge.

Is that a different wing? Still love the 4 doors, that is what I originally purchased but a long story!

Now get that manual box in! You won't know what to do with yourself! :P

yea i forgot to add the east bear tail light covers. they were just being test fitted when i took the pic. im pretty happy with them and ive sprayed them myself. just a few more coats of clear and they will be on for good. they certainly make the back look better.

yea i like the boost gauge idea but i have since straitened it up was going the drift look but it just looked odd. ill post up another pic soon of the other gauges ive put in.

the car is handeling well now i just cant wait to get a manual in it.

yep thats the one. the old owner used to park it there. i work at carswell auto elec so thats why its parked there.

Hi mate, where did you get the Nismo 260km speedo from, as i would like to get one myself.

Cheers, Raymond

  • 4 weeks later...

thought id post up some pics of my latest work.

i just finished modifing my nismo strut tower brace to house a brake cylender stopper. i also had the cross bar highly polished thanks to a good friend of mine. some of the pics arent real clear but you get the idea.

ive also just fitted a gereddy catch tank and drift oil breather. i haven quite finished it yet as ive been waiting on a T pice.

ive also just installed rear adjustable camber and toe rods from just jap as well as some uras sterring spacers which have given the car a tad more lock. and i have custom made castor rods and gusseted castor brackets going in before the weekend.

ill take pics of that next time i have a wheel off.

hope you all enjoy!

    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
