plus what type of 400kw u talking about? u could boost spike to make 400kw, u could hit it with a farking 300hp shot of gas. or u could spend to $$$'s and get the power everywhere, not just being a peaky 400kw

i can't believe how wankerfull the '07 crew is :domokun:

a war with a clown indeed joshwa :domokun:

When will people be more like us Shane. They all forget what a real build is.

I think when people work out what a decent twin/triple plate clutch costs, along with a fuel system elaborate enough to supply 400rwkw, they’ll work out quick just what the real costs are for big kw figures, that last more then a few dyno pull's.

haha yeh man, only the people who have gone through the 'proper' build know the actual costs involved.

take ur example of fuel system, a complete system would set u back 3k atleast. thena clutch. then a gearbox. then a diff. axles. cooler, radiator. ecu. ebc. tuning. blah blah blah

rofl i alrady know that mate, i am reaching the finish of my project atm mate.

all i have left is a turbo and high mount manifold, clutch, emu

the point with the rx7= cheaper means to make the same amount of power it would take for a piston engine.

now before people begin to lecture a person, perhaps u should consider, that we are also educated in these matters.

its ova mate.

sell your 'porsche'

and get a rx7

your not gonna change my mind.

there is no debating this mate u cant win

end of debate.

Where did I say it’s my Porsche? I didn’t. I said I could be seen in one.

I’m not out too change your mind on anything. You’re just oblivious to what things cost. Sure, you MIGHT crack 400rwkw, but not without a big gas kit and it’s not going to last very long.

So your “400kw” rx7, really isn’t 400kw at all.

To use a word from someone very un wise.. People just can’t be “educated”.

got that mate, stuff i need (refer to previous statement)

not going for forgies, lol, so dont ask

all i have left is a turbo and high mount manifold, clutch, emu

turbo $2500

manifold $1200

clutch $1200

emu $2000

And thats on the cheap. Arent OS Giken clutch's and the likes still up around $2500 - $3500

thats a bit higher then what i can get the parts for, but most people these days pay retail for most gear.

yeah os twins are around 2.5k new. 1200 is for a jim berry clutch (what ive got to go in the gtr, he said it'll hold me to over 1000hp, it looks like i'll be seeing how real that claim is)

alright...how about get an rx7...find out its not as good as a 34 GTR, then buy a GTR....then buy a Dodge Viper :( haha gotta love vipers

A viper? lol... Yeh they are tough. But I would take the rx7 or the R34 before a Viper.

$3500 for the "and the likes" eg: HKS quds with carbon plates ect.

Jim berry is rather awesome indeed.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
