Diff Lockers Any Good?

ha sanyone got a diff locker in their car and are they any good

good for fun, great for drift, bad for handling, tyres, driveline harshness, attention from police and atrotious for safety in the wet.

had one in my last car, it was great, but i didn't attract attention to myself and was VERY careful if it rained. won't have one again on a road car, they are less practical and it makes the car more difficult to drive enthusiastically. it was fun watching valet attendants shit themselves though

I'd prefer a 1.5 way mechanical these days. but if it's sideways you want then it's hard to go past a locked diff

if it is a drift pig, or drag pig that you are after then they are great. if you want to be able to turn in a car park without it pushing the front, and squealing the inside tyre then don't get one. also wears your tyres more.
