The mtx/atx pinouts are different for the connector to the cluster. Also your automatic car has a sensor at the diff to read speed while the manual cluster uses the speed sensor on the manual transmission. I bought the mtx speed sensor connector, plugged in it and ran the wires into the car, grounded one out on the crash bar [any ground is good] and the other I put in pinout # 19. It should now work. Edit: you can find the pinout numbers in the R34 workshop manual on page EL19. If you don't have it, shoot me your email and Ill send the manual to you.

So there is one vehicle speed sensor input wire [#19] The 2 vss output wires are 2 pulse [#30] and 8 pulse. [#31] Im guessing 2P is for manual transmission sensor and 8P is for auto final drive speed signal. It would be safe to assume whichever one I have, I should wire in the opposite for ground. I need to put a fuse on the ground side too by the looks of it.

Hi guys, R34 sedan I have was originally a non turbo automatic. Speedo is read in analog from the sensor on the diff pinion. Put in a nismo manual cluster and confirmed speedo did not read, switched back to auto cluster for and was happy with it. I then grenaded the diff and could only find a short nose replacement. So I am now at the point of wiring in the transmission digital sensor to the cluster, but I cannot find any wiring schematics in the R34 service manual that are useful. Questions: 1) Do we have wiring schematics available for R34's? 2) Do the 2x speedo wires go straight to the cluster from the trans sensor or via an ECU to calibrate and read correctly? 3) Now I have a hard ABS light on due to analog speed sensor not being connected to the diff. What are my options regarding ABS. Does everyone pull a fuse/relay to eliminate it or can you incorporate/convert it? Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. I've searched the forum for an hour or so and cannot see if anyone this specific issue, if there is a thread that solves my issue sorry in advance!

Hey guys, looking at the many HKS, HPI and Trust oil cooler setups. It appears they attach on top of the stock RB26 cooler setups, Im looking for one to completely bypass all that and go direct to the block. Requirements: 1) Has provision for v-cam/both OEM oil sensors. Hopefully these are located after the oil has passed through the oil filter. HKS requires oil line location after filter or adding screen mesh in line. 2) The filter can be stacked on top of plate or relocated. 3) Is thermostat equipped. Am I overthinking this? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

R34 Sedan/4door exhaust comparability?
tommytomatoes replied to Pr0x1mity's topic in Four Door Family
Agreed with above. A little off topic but HKS make a relatively cheap hi power 409 for the R34 4 door. [31006-AN016] sounds great with a cammed RB26. -
Found one, please close.
