Gtst R33 Stock Computer - What Are My Options

Recommended Posts

i've seen that a lot of people have power FC's for there skylines but i cant afford a replacement computer, i was woundering wat kind of tuning is posible for a stock computer. Can i get the speed limiter removed? can the air fuel ratios be changed etc.

or

are there cheaper piggy back systems like the Greddy E plug and plays (saw them advertiesed for around $600)?

also if i get my boost raised a little will i stil have duel stage boost or will it be disabled.

i want that nervouse giggle back that i used to get when i first drove my car :(

yup, i agree with mushroom

enjoy the car how it is, save and get a powerfc (if there are any left)

better to do it propperly

i thought about getting a safcII, but im glad i held out for a powerfc

ultimately you dont have to tune a car with a boost controller if u know what your listening for in the engine (knocks, pings, etc etc).

however, having it tuned with the boost controller would be better off being done to save the engine if u dont know what your doing.

as for the ecu... u cant modify the ecu in a gtst r33 skyline (i dont know about the others, im pretty sure u can with gtr's though). so buying a piggyback would be a bit of a waste of money. opting to go for another ecu such as powerfc's, haltechs, etc etc would be your best option dude.

im sure a piggy back system is about $400-$600/$700??

ecu's you can get brand new for $950ish delivered from japan through group buys here on the forum.
