Shot of the rear 1/4 panel looks hott dumpt that low!

Whats it ride like??

Looks very nice! It looks fairly low - any scrubbing or other clearance problems noticed yet?

I have Nismo coilovers in mine, from what I can tell not set up as low as yours, but I've scraped the resonator on the exhaust once in my driveway already... hmm.

And the front tyres do scrape on the guards ever so slightly when at a fairly hard lock and going up a driveway... but not so badly as to be a real problem.

Cheers cheers! It's not as low now, that was just when they first went on... I put them up a little bit but I'm suprised at just how low they can go! That 1/4 shot isn't at the lowest! Rides alot stiffer of course but I haven't fitted the remote to switch that around yet - Still got some experimenting to do

She does scrape lightly on certain speed bumps when I don't have enough room to angle properly but not as bad as I expected.. No scrubbing at all either  We'll see how she goes when the Volk GT-C's are on, although I'm rolling the guards next weekend so shouldn't be too much of a problem... Fingers crossed :D

Cheers again!

Alicia

more pics to come wen i pick it up next week...

Noice

I like the FB/bonnet... the guards look normal GTT so that means theyre aftermarket? Any idea who makes them or sells them?

Look forward to more pics

With the remote kit installed it's gonna be so good!

Well worth doing, I wish I could adjust mine on the fly like that.

Maybe one day... heh :)

erms... eww.... so much tyre. ..

sorry, but the back looks *blrugh*. The lights, the wing the bar. wth.

The reast looks good. especially the front side on.

I really like that bumper/bonnet kit, I want mine to look like that! In previously taking about a preferance for kits that enhance the natural lines, that kit looks the best!, for the stock kit on a GTR is prefect from factory,...

If only you had a GTR rear wing, would look great, although every single GT-T owner wants a GTR wing, myself included,....... although I don't think it would go to well with LED tail lights, but thats just me.

Lower profile tyres would make everything look so good.

Agreed! I'll put this one at the top of my list methinks... East Bear, right?

Also agree - the GTR doesnt need touching ;)

Unless you really need ventilation in the bonnet perhaps...

Yeah I'm in two minds about getting LED tail lights, some just don't look right and some are 'okay'... although my opinion kinda changes a lot depending which day you ask me :D

I do think the original tail lights look a bit dated with the amber lens though.

I have a feeling I'll be fitting some to mine at some stage, just as soon as I'm convinced which ones I like most.

Also, I reckon the brake light on the boot needs to be LED as well, to match the tail lights.

Not sure if anyone makes them though? Mind you, with a bit of thought it could well be a fairly simple mod to make yourself...

they are normal/stock gtt guards

pretty sure the front bar is an East Bears item

They probably are East Bear... they're fairly expensive arent they? Bloody figures

I must say the more I look at your FB the more I like it, bonnet as well.

lol

hmm i actually like the tailights, other than the LEDs they look factory so i dont mind em....

i also like the rear bar eventhough most people hate it. i'm happy with the way the car looks atm only thing i dislike about it is the wing which will be coming off.

dont think i'll go gtr wing though, probably 1 of them adjustable nismo ones (like the 1 on other GTTs only adjustable) looks cool...

thanks ;)

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
