What really gets up my nose is that the same f*cking organisation can find time to bust you for doing 10k over the limit, but can't find the time to come out and do some REAL police work. As Gus said, we are treated like the crims all because we upset the cops comfort zone. I could go on and on but it would only be seen as a cop hate diatribe [as opposed to the truth about under performance and lack of service].

Ditto Dan the man...fcuked situation...Shoot to kill,I say!

Yeah, very true, even though nothing was stolen, ive still gotta buy and install a window, hassle i didnt need, specially around xmas.

the window was also tinted, so its gonna look weird for abit... will have to get all windows re-tinted to match up, was gonna get them re-tinted anyway i guess, but it sure wasnt on the top of my list...

Its a dead end situation what ever way you look at it Beau. If the cops had of come and taken prints and the guys were known felons the punishment wouldn't be much at all. They would be out of jail in a few months and probably try track your car down and do much worse then a broken window. If they were under aged then they would probably get off with a warning. And then if you yourself actually caught them and busted a few heads wide open it would be your azz going to jail.

Best thing you can do is get it fixed as cheap as possible and look for a better spot to park - or get a trunk monkey

Yuup had an accident with a semi, got his number plate details down as the asshole wouldnt pull over and thanks AFP and justcar good communication! nothing got nothing

Don't let them get away with this, it's too easy to pull the 'can't do anything card'. This is a clear case of unprofessional behaviour be it by the uniformed or non uniformed people in that agency. You have phone records to show the date and duration of calls, and you have a clear recollection of the conversation. If you behaved reasonably - only you and the person taking the call will know that for sure, and remember no one could blame you for showing frustration - I would not hesitate to report this in writing. Unfortunately it takes a bit of work but they must also reply to you in writing. When certain agencies and individuals either get misinformed or do not bother to find out what they are supposed to be doing it causes insult to injury. Given the circumstances in which people generally interact with this agency - usually when someone has been seriously aggrieved - they need to do a whole lot better.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
