*prices Reduced* Car Audio Gear - Pioneer, Boston, Rockford Etc.

Recommended Posts

After having to sell my pride and joy earlier this year (r33 S2), I've only just come to terms with the fact that I also have to sell my audio gear that I ripped out. ;)

These items were installed early 2003 and were taken out in May this year. They haven't seen a great deal of use, as the car was really only driven for short trips.

For sale are:

* Pioneer DEH-P8450MP deck - $350* **SOLD**

* Boston Rally RC620 6.5" splits - $175* **SOLD**

* Rockford Fosgate Punch 200S amp - $150*

* Rockford Fosgate Punch HE RFP3412 12" sub + box - $150*

* Clarion V-Net 450 4 channel amp - $130* **SOLD**

* JVC CH-X1000 12 disc changer (actually from my Fiance's Liberty) - $100 **SOLD**

Would make an excellent starter pack. Originally worth well over $3000

*Special package deal - $800* for the lot!

For more info and pics, please visit the following (dodgy looking) page:

Pickup from Sydney would be preferred, but other options could be discussed for the serious buyer.

Hey mate,

I don't actually have the gear with me (at the Olds' place). I'll try and get there ASAP to check model numbers etc.

I know what you mean about there not being much on Google. I assure you it does exist though! :)

Clarion amp was sold tonight in an on-the-spot deal - Sorry Foznice.

Deck and stacker are being held.

Still have the Boston splits, Rockford amp and Rockford sub.

umm...the RF amp...wat is the RMS rating bridged?

Rockford Fosgate Punch 200S:

* Channels - 2

* Per channel power - 50 W X 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS,100 W X 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS, 200 W X 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS

* Total power :400 Watts

* Bridgeable - Yes

Actually still have the test certificate from RF that rates it at 264 W RMS

Would prefer to sell it with the RF sub too.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
