man

when the cops do a general licence check, u wont leave withing 5 mins, regardless if u have a brand new corrolla or highly modiefied gtr.

just sit back, ive been pulled over in my car, which is a fair bit louder than ur car most likely esp on any sort of throttle, and driven away without nuffen.

watch your attitude, altho if u have a bad driving history, cops r usually assholes to u straight away, also doesnt help when u drive an import or hoon car.

i doubt u will get an epa notice, if u do, dont stress bout it. before u go to the epa, goto an exhaust shop, get it db tested, if its over, borrow a stock cat back, and ur set

I had pretty much the same thing happen about 2 weeks ago, Cop pulled me over for a "Random Breath Test", checked my license, asked me to pop the bonnet and took a look under there, asked me if the exhaust was on it when i got it, etc... anyway then he left with a "thanks mate".. all good (or so i thought). He actually forgot to breath test me in the end :)

Yesterday I got a letter from the EPA saying i was observed on that day and "the vehicle was considered to be either excessively noisy or had a faulty exhaust system". Anyway I have to get it tested, gotta get a new exhaust system coz there's no chance that it will pass whatsoever, it's soooo loud (but i love it :)).

Just what I need at Christmas time ;)

well, that was the first time ive been pulled over so that could be my warning... the reason they pulled me over was because i was in the merging lane just had my bonnet infront of them and i speed up a little to get in front as i had right of way in the first place... so maybe they had nothing on me anyway as they were suposed to give way to me and didnt til the last minute......

they might have been hoping i dropped a gear and sunk the slipper into it. but i didnt. :) lucky!

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
