Why Cant R33 Ecu Be Re-mapped?

hey guys i enquired about a re-map for my rb25det n they said they cant do it.. why is this?? is there another way around it without going pfc ect? i read an article about a rb25 cefiro runnin a 300zx ecu in perth (drift car) would it be an option or forget it?? curious because id like to try something different

any opinions or experience would be great

can be done, its just too expensive so most people just say they can't

its the cos the chip is a burn once so it becomes expensive

and i think the ecu data is on the actual main processor, not on a rom bank somewhere like on the r32
