Hey mate, thanks for those links. Was just checking a few of them out. I have been studying for about a year and wanted to do the test last Dec, but due to circumstances couldnt get to. How did you go with it? I have found that the written and spoken grammer is a hell of a lot different.

I'm no expert but Japanese doesn't change that much from other languages in that the spoken and written language is different, nobody in any language speaks like a newspaper. Although it is compounded a bit in Japanese because you have distinct polite and formal ways of saying/writing things, but it is not too hard to master.

Dunno how I went, the results come out in mid February. If you are trying to learn Japanese, taking the test is a great way of motivating yourself to study, considering it's so expensive and is only held once a year.
