I think you'd be going a step back with the TD04.

Look here for a heap of info on Mitsu Turbo's - http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/sho...ead.php?t=26477

I'd be looking at atleast a TD06-20G or a later series Evo TD05 for response if you want to use a Mitsu turbo

Ok..

ive been told that this TD04-19t "with #7 exhaust housing" is capable of atleast 340hp. and it would give a great spoolup to.

How much can original make?

Im not aiming for much over 300-320hp at the moment and would like a turbo that gives full pressure quite quick.

(The thing is that my standart turbo hasent much more to give, and sweden (where i live) is'nt the greatest place to look for used skyline parts.. or skyline parts at all  )

Standard turbo would flow 270 rwhp with all the support mods. What mods have you done sofar?

Fast spool and 220-240rwkw (~300hp) would be the TD05-16G. You can get them of Mitsubishi Evo's.

So far its just blitz nur catback, decat pipe, pod, and a hks evc. 3" downpipe will come with the new turbo installation.

does the TD05 16G fit the t3 flange on the exhaust manifold? (cause the td0419t fits direct on with only a small "flange" "gasket" between standard t3 "gasket" and the turbo flange)

but it dosent have to be a mitsu turbo, its just that i can get one for decent money, and its pretty easy to fit.

TDO4 and early(vr4 and evo1-3) have the same flange pattern, but nowhere near the same as a skyline, late tdo5'5 (evo4+)are a nightmare, steer clear, they spin the other way, and have a funny shape splitpulse exhaust housing.

this is the turbo, the exhaust entery has the exact same pattern but you need the flange seen in pic between the turbo and the manifold.

I think if i rememer right this type of turbo comes from a Volvo v70R

And will manage to flow atleast 340hp

    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.

    • Yep, cheapest options, neglected and abused. The fastest way to dislike a car is to get assigned that model by a budget rental company
    • The noise complaint could be from absolutely anywhere, and anyone. Get it actually noise level tested to find out if you're actually over, or if you're fine. If you're over, quieten it down. If you're under, carry the test results in the car with you.
