Has anyone seen or tried the new model EBC from HKS?

I was just about to buy one as i have found them at a good price, only to realise the one im lookign at buying is the old model.

So is there any difference in the functionality of the two. Is the new one worth the slight dollar premium?

Is that the EVC 5?

I had a bit of a look at the EVC 5 and it appears to be quite good. Closed loop boost control etc so its an 'intelligent' boost controller not just a glorified manual ball/spring boost controller.

The black one is adertised on KHS USA os the VI so probably the V in Japan.

But is the silver one above have closed loop control etc as well. I have been told they are a good EBC but not sure if the person was referring to the silver or black one?

apparently the older silver one (2nd pic) was the ducks nuts, so i can't see why they'd go backwards. The new one look's like it's a single unit now instead of the controller and the screen being separated.
