Anyone know how well the DMD front bars fit? Any mods required? Im interested in the Do-Luck lookalike. Also afta a rough idea of cost for painting a whole kit if anyone can help.

Cheers.

DMD are the eqivilent to Body form in sydney .. I.E the best if not close to the top fitters

Ok. So has anyone actually had a DMD Do Luck front bar fitted to their 34? I'd like to kno if u can use the factory bonnet with it or would the longer GTR bonnet be required. Also would u need a huge FMIC to fill that big hole in the centre or would any FMIC do the job? Im running a Hybrid GT kit. It also looks like the FMIC pipes goes thru the front bar meaning a hole would have to be cut to fit so would this be a mod thats to be taken into cosideration.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

Most aspects of the bar are nice except the grill area.. :P

cheers -

if i din't go a do-luck myself my other thoughts would be to customise a little in that area

(read: chop out the fugly bits)

bar was already on the car when i bought it.

:(

Firstly The Do luck kit is wicked ill be running it soon.

Secondly answering your questions The hybrid is too small to fit that huge hole.. Yes mods need to be done to fit a massive cooler.

The kit is redesigned by DMD to fit the GTT and they also have the GTR kit .. They dont have the side skirts from last time I asked which is a pitty because the side skirts make it .. the lines for the do luck kit are perfect and you cant really match it with any other kit .. I dont like the rear bar that much espeically not the UK version its more like a Bomex rear :) :)

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
