Stock 33 Rims

Hi.

Wondering whether anyone has done anything with stock 33 rims (eg. colour change, polish, etc).

Doubt so but would be interested in seeing pics

most people sand them back and paint them gloss black . the stealth look is a great look . have a quick search on the forums you will surely find something . iv seen a few pics posted on here over the past 6 months.

well just until i get tyres for my 18's iv got my stockies on, they looked boring so i sprayed them black with a spray can

Yeah when i bought my car the stockies had been painted black, imo it looks way better than the standard grey/silver look

when you say sand them back do ya mean with a machine or just some fine sand paper use by hand.

im getting 19s in a week or 2 but would mind giving it a go for now. have the next few days off. so i might give it a go. bored.

Just did mine then, took me all up around 2 hours, including drying. used very very fine sand paper, and a thin wire brush for the hard to reach places. came up a treat imo.

what kind of paint are you guys using. Automotive? Not that $2 pressure pack stuff?

Also did you do it on the car or remove them?

i used VHT quick coat acrylic enamel, its a silver can with a blue star on it. You can pick up from autobahn or wherever. SP 504 Gloss Black. did 2 coats let each dry for about 15 mins (mind you it was a sunny 30o today).

yeah take the wheel off, that way you can get a good clean and spray. remember to chuck some shit down on the ground so you dont paint the ground black. i.e- newspaper or old rag

ha whatever, the original silver on my wheels was really dirty(could not get discolour out) and scuffed so i think it looks 10 times better in black
