good stuff sau.. did andy melt something? :P

Every track day and dyno my rear bar gets a little more melted it is no biggy because it is smashed anyway and needs replacing...just a shame that big bird copped it this time :) He has survived a track day and a dyno day but for some reason this time he got owned

I dunno, I guess i viewed this day different to some peeps. I went there to see some fine lines and hang with liners. What happenned at the dyno was simply the medium that gets people of a similar nature together. WTF do you want for 40 bucks. Heck it was worth more than that just for the entertainment value alone. And dont forget the free sausage sizzle lunch and cold drink to members.

The day I am paying a tuner 100 to 200 clams an hour to tune my car I will be the most critical person on the planet but for days like this if you saw it as anything more than fun you were there for the wrong reason imo.

Bah talk about topic change from discussion to flaming

Agreed, thread cleaned of needless info...

Please stick to the topic, of sharing photos/video and good times...

Problem with something then PM me, Warrick and I seem to understand each other so im sure i can reason with anyone...

Not to say Warrick is un-reasonable, just saying we were able to see each others point.

If you have an issue please PM me so we can sort it out for next time to improve the unofficial may dyno night...

Heads up tho; At this stage the unofficial host (for may) will be Mercury Motorsport as they have a 4wd "Dyno Dynamics" dyno which is want everyone has requested. I mean to say we need a 4wd one this time and most have asked for it to be a dyno dynamics unit. So Mercury fits that bill. However in saying that we have a few issues to over come with them in terms of Noise and Price. But its in May so Ive got heaps of time to sort it out...

We have not used Mercury for over 2 years and im sure they will want us back...

Who owned that white 33 with the bomex/veilside looking kit with the nose off? That was the most incredible engine sound i've ever heard, and i'm not even into cars that much.

Seriously wow :P

That was SirSkyline - Jarrad

Oh oh this is one for those techys out there the guy who ran 249rwkws, in a bone stock r33 gtst, only mods diff were exhaust trust cooler and hks 2540 turbo :P And yes stock bottom, stock head, Stock injectors, and oh i forgot stock r33 airflow meter, only dif running a regulator with it.

One big big noticable difference were the big fat drag radials it had on there and oh running 1.2 i think bar pressure. and afrs were everywhere dipping in to low 11s to 10s in some spot

Come on come on someone explain this please :)

We saying here well if i and col were to run big fat drag radials our readings would be higher due too better traction, its really got me thinking on this one, as i was running 38psi on stocko 205/16s with well 2mm off tread indicators.

This one is for Col, could you pm me your details of just your turbo, exduce induce trim and inlet outlet and a/r (Hot Side) just would like to compare to mine please Thanks In Advance

Cheers A

this is my mate simon's car, it has all that u mentioned but it has bigger injectors and fuel pump to match etc he had semmi race slicks off race car on the rear,

but his is an uncracked motor. so no forged nothing. but saying that it has 3 days of dyno time tuning it to perfection. he had a problem holding boost in top end yesterday, might be actuator or something, but he has pumped out 370rwhp or 275kw running up to 1.4 bar on street tyres, and did show a few ppl his dyno sheets from previous dyno runs he has had. so i dont think semi slick rubber is gonna make a difference in hp, otherwise col wouldnt have cracked 300 if his car was wheel spinning the first time, he wouldnt have grabbed tracion with more power.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
