Hey Adzmax

The custom coolers at Race Radiators in Dande are they cut down form truck coolers? And is about $700 for fitting and piping?

I got a 32 gts-t with a gtr front so u think that cooler would fit in there nicely?

Is 640x270 a good size?

Sorry if i sound dumb im tryin to find out which will be best for my car.

:uh-huh:

Well I'm no pro by any means but I went into thier workshop and saw them making them. They are not cut down truck coolers they are all brand new bits. I told him the type of car I had and he gave me two options. A 60mm for $650ish and an 80mm for $750ish. Thats a mandrel bend pipe at the bottom so it feeds back the same way it came in. They are good for heaps of preasure too. The fitting was about $300ish from memory but it still works out cheaper than buying a kit and it's all fully installed for you too! There may be cheaper options but I want it done the right way with good quality materials. If you read my first post thats the guy that they recomend to fit em. Hope that helps.

dandyexhaust quoted $600 for chrome hpc coated mild steel.

thats with silicon and that. but i have to fit the cooler myself. which aint too hard.

race readiatiors get there cooler piping done by dandy exhausts most of the time, and that is not inclusive with the cooler. so extra ontop of $700. they dont use truck cores.

ehh Adzmax thanks heaps mate i should be gettin a cooler shortly im just gonna save some $$$, i gave them a call yesterday and spoke to them a bit, sounds very professional. I will go for the $750 one. Where did you get the piping done coz the guy there refered me onto a guy that does the fitting and piping. I called him to and he said it would cost $550 to fit with silicone hoses and stainless steel piping. What do you think about that? Is that a good price?

Thanks heaps man for your help!!!!

:P

ehh dabigbolf no problem man, race radiators told me about this guy named Benny that specialises in the imports and especially nissans. He said he'd do the fitting with stainless steel piping and silicon hoses within 4hours for $550.

His number is 0417 334769.

Let me know how you go mate

:uh-huh:

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
