My car arrived from Japan minus the cartridge in the CD stacker.

Without it the whole CD system is useless.

So I'm looking for a CD cartridge for the following:

SANYO CDF-C6F (10 stacker).

This unit was not sold in Australia & maybe was only sold in Japan.

it's no longer being made.

Can anyone please help?????

a long shot: but I know JB hifi sells cartridges seperately. You could try them, Dick Smith or Radio Parts ~ I think one of those should be able to help you out. If not you may have to wait a until yelo comes back!

Man i have the whole CD stacker unit at home doing nothing & cartridge. (as i pulled it out because of stereo upgrade)

(I take it these are the stock CD stackers that skylines come with)

Its been sitting there for a while so i cant garentee that the unit itself will work . but the cartridge will be fine!

PM me..

JNR24, I don't know if mine is an OEM unit, but I doubt it.

It looks to me like in was an aftermarket job in Japan.

But the stacker clearly has "Sanyo Excedio" written on it.

If you do have the same system, or a similar one that has a compatible cartridge, then I'd be interested.

Please let me know.

ylwgtr2, if you find you do have the right one then I will definitely take it off your hands. Thanks for letting me know.

In the meantime, if you stumble across a crtridge for a CDF-C6F somewhere in Yokohama, then buy it & I'll fix you up on your return.

Thanks everyone who's offered help.

    • That could be drilled, ground and welded. Would stop it progressing and leaking. But that block shouldn't be pushed very hard, as what you see there is a massive warning sign. But that fix also isn't going to happen properly with the engine in the car, and assembled. So you're looking at anew block if you're doing all that work anyway.
    • It's not as simple as it is being made out to be. It s not hard, but there are things that have to be done. Am busy right now, but will try to essay later.
    • Pinout is different to my knowledge, but you should confirm to be sure. Also you will need to adjust the VQ table in Nistune to suit. I would still recommend sticking with recirculating BOVs, I'm not sure if the R35 card MAF will fully resolve stalling caused by reversion/throttle lift.
    • What issues are those? Previous owner said it wants to stall sometimes. We did test drive and it was nice and smooth so it will be sporadic or idk. And if i just change MAF(the sensor to R35 version) it should be better? And as i asked...is it like "plug n play" with oem MAF from R34?  This is a MAF from R35 right?
    • Even with no BOV you will have issues unless the MAF is a hot film type like the R35 which has some design features to deal with reversion. Hot wire MAFs are very sensitive.
