Engine Cut Off At Idling

I inadvertently removed the battery and when I put it back on, my car suddenly stops when it's idling. It runs normal but when I put it in neutral the engine suddenly stops. What gives?

sounds like a air flow meter problem did you remove any intercooler piping or just the battery?
