well as far as ive heard, you got a good set of splits! focals rock my world (but others may differ?)

as for instalation...depends on your experience with splits...if you are a noob, you might want to talk to someone who has done it before. get some tips like tweeter position(but i guess thats why you posted in here:D)

I hate them speakers in the front i was hoping to put something in there wack the factory cover back on and forget about em but what brand make 6x4 or 5x4 or what ever they are...seriously, i found some vdo 90watters that i almost bought but the screw holes didnt line up, so i figured if i was gunna have to dick around trying to fit some shitty speakers in i might aswell save my time and get some good ones. So now i am looking for some competition class splitts......will watch this thread to see if any one has a recipe for installing them.

well i spent sooo frikin long making up the spacers ... in the end i dont' know if it was worth all the hard work i put into making it ... i was lucky i have all the tools at work to make it easily ... but still ... i think if i had known how hard it was originally ... then i would of just bought something that fit my fronts ... its pretty easy to make ... all u gotta do is cut out a peice of mdf that will fit the space of the hole thats in ur door ... accurately mark where u have to screw the spacer onto the door panel so it fits nicely ... then buy some circle spacers that will fit the speakers ... make sure that there is enough room in the back and the front of the speakers ... so that the electric windows dont' get in the way when its winded down ... and that the stock grills dont touch the cone ... even give it a bit of space cause the cone will move out a bit when its given abit ... i'll try and answer anything else ... hope it helps ...

Dudes..i went got the 6.5 inch focal speakers put in my R32 skyline . They Removed the plastic mold inside the door and cut out a piece of MDF to cover the existing mold. Cut out a 6.5" hole and screwed in the speaker. After that the put the door back in place and you cant even tell.

They speakers are fantastic and i recommend them to anyone.

Therefore 6.5" speakers do fit in a R32 SKyline!

Focal is a excellent brand.

ive got four 6.5" 2 way speakers in my r31 and they pump as far as modifications go they are a pretty deep speaker and i had 2 use doormounts (just a black piece of 6.5" pvc pipe!!)

P.S. is you do use the el cheapo 6.5"pipe door mount you will get alot better sound if you drilled small holes into the pipe if u get wat im sayin

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
