i'll speak to the people at work, i know that we can get in a huge amount of trouble for selling a defectable car.

cubes it doesn't matter if the customer knows its illegal or not its the yard responsibility to sell a car that is legal and not just tell the customer. We got a huge fine for putting a sticker on the front of a crossfire instead of the supplied no plates. even though we explained to the customer that its illegal, we still delivered the car like that.

All skylines sold would have "defects" in the eyes of regency, and even brand new cars from holden would have defects, so it doesnt matter that she bought it 2nd hand. In your logic all car yards in Adelaide would have defectable cars for sale.

She got defected by a motorcycle cop. Traffic police are there to look for defects.

Black32... take it very easily on me.

That time of the month then eh? ;)

Ladies love the oil madaz,

Yeh on them..........NOT YOU!

Sorry to hear what has happend! BUT in saying that, It's gonna be a hard long road if you do it the way you want! might pay to fix yourself and deal with the Car Yard and CA seperatly!

Also as stated which car yard is in question! I'm thinking the one on the same side of the road as Synergy but just down the road! I hate used car salesmen with a passion!

you think they screw you over when you buy a car try working with them all day all week...

Yes yes that would suck, You can just never trust them!!! when looking for a car just tell them to shut the f#$k up and let me do the talking and inspecting..........lol

if gauges and suspension is mainly things u got done for, take them off, and u can leave your intercooler on. As long as its secured they are not illegal..I just took my car thruogh regency 3 times to get off defect, they were absolute assholes, but intercooler they said nothing bout.

Unfortunately, even if buying from car yard, i didnt think that defectable items such as gauges etc would have been under warranty....becasue you were buying the vehicle with those mods and they were visible to you at the time of purchase?

Goodluck with it though :3some: Just take the car through regency pay the 75$ and get the list of things to clear up...after that fix those things on the list and go through again..Then the second time thet arnt allowed to add new items on the list... :spank: Not a biggy :P

BB out

They have and slapped a second defect on my old car in the past.

exactly..u get defected by cop (1 defect label) take through regency with a new list of things (second label) then return on your second time thorugh the pits and u pass...:)

Hate to take advantage of other peoples misfortunes but I have been trying to sell some stock suspension.

Been trying to get $150 but since you are in distress $100.

The last thing you need is to spend money I guess so you would also be welcome to borrow it short term as well.

    • GTSboy, thank you again. i’ve been reading all the other SAU RB25 vacuum line threads and you have the utmost patience for people asking “where do my vacuum lines go”. it’s appreciated. i did also enlist a few other RB guys local to me.  i would like to run 5 to 4. turbo pressure side to wastegate actuator. i would like to run 3 to 1. power steering air valve line to intercooler outlet. (this is how it was previously). i was told 2 is the bleed port for the boost solenoid - which i’m not running - so should be capped.   anyone see any problems with that?
    • So yes. All of them. Something like 98% of all fuel in the USA has 10% ethanol: https://afdc.energy.gov/fuels/ethanol-fuel-basics It's labelled as like, AKI, 87, 91, 93 with an E10 or E5 or E15 label on the pump. At a certain point, it's not just "E10" instead of 91. It is 91, 95, 98, and all of them have 10% Ethanol in them. You can also get E85 and E30 which is why you do see some people rolling around with E30 tunes in them.
    • Thanks for the response. This is an 04 EP3 Type R. JDM spec. Fairly certain they're just basic BC racing coils. I do plan to keep as the ride quality on stock I've been told is pretty meh given Sydney roads. If I were to go down that avenue, does NSW require them to be a certain spec (close to original) etc?
    • Should have asked what is the car?
    • I've had two super conflicting experiences with blue slips. My 30 year old E39 waltzed through with no issues but my brother in law was knocked back on 12 y/o 3 series due to wiper blades and some cracking in a control arm bush.  What kind of coil overs? Do you want to keep them after?  If it was me I'd get some dirt cheap shocks and springs from eBay or scumtree. Not ideal but will get you over the line and might even be less than $1k.
