Friend Needs Assistance

guys a friend of mine bought a ex undercover cop xr8. He got a good deal has big brakes etc

the problem he has is that he got pulled over by the cops in moorebank last friday and they issued him a defect notice for his tinted windows. Now the problem is that he bought the car from pickles like this, the nsw police tinted the windows as it was an unmarkd.

Is there anything he can do to fight this as it was the police who did in the first place

I seriously doubt there is anything he can do in this instance. It's illegal tint. Regardless of whether the cops fitted it or not - it's still illegal, it's on HIS car, and he needs to remove it in order to be legal again. End of story IMO.
