--OBSERVATION CRUISE, Victoria -- 15th June '03

Just reminding everyone to keep this day open as it is only 2 weeks away!

Northern Street Cruizers (my car club) are having a HUGE observation cruise.

This cruise is different to most as, after registering you are given a MAP/route and also a questionair. The idea is to follow the detailed route/instructions and as you are cruising answer the questions provided. Most questions relate to landmarks/objects that are seen at various points. A generous time frame is given to complete the cruise, as to have everyone meet up at the final point for a supplied BBQ. At this stage NOVA are coming along to join in and report/promote the cruise.

DETAILS:

DATE: Sunday, 15th June, 2003

START/REGISTER: Skyways car park, Westfeild S/C., Airport West. MEL Ref: pg:16 A4

TIME: 9:30am - 10:30am (register closes at 10:30am)

FINISH/BBQ: A park on Wellington Rd., S.E. Suburbs. (This is all i know as only the committy members know which park) Detailed (read: fool proof) instructions/map will be given upon registering.

Note: Total distance from STRART to FINISH is approx 71km.

Note 2: No e-tag required!

COST: $10 per car. (this includes BBQ at the Park)

PRIZES: For 1st, 2nd and 3rd most correctly answered questions.

seperate prize for car club members that will be entering, not to make it look doge if a member wins.:uh-huh:

CONTACT: Corey-0418103392 or Paul-0416277907

SO, bring your family, GF/BF, friends and have a great and entertaining afternoon. More people in your car will help you answer questions better.

PS: Most of the profit, if any, will go towards the funds required to run the DECA fun day, in Shepparton. Hmmmm legal drift, burnouts, short circuit time race, slalom, etc. :burnout:

Congratulations lowlux, getting first prize, with the most correctly answered questioniar. Actually your g/f should probably get most the credit as you would have been too busy drivin :uh-huh: (sssshhhhh!, i wont tell anyone, haha too late!!)

It was a great event, and we still managed to get 28 cars. Unfortunately the wether and probably exams were the main contributing factors to a smallish turn out. The next one will be planned at a different time of the year.

As for you sleepy heads who had nooo really excuse to miss it, well your lose :D , just hope to see ya all at another cruise. :uh-huh:

Clarky was driving the white R33 GTR, the one parked next too my burgundy R33.

Well fun was had by all with a few tricky questions to seperate the feild, even thou it was a cold, wet misserable day. The feed at the end partly made up for it.

C Ya

Alan

PS: Sorry lowlux, i am bad with names. Can you please remind me? :D

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
