18" Or 19"

Buying some new rims for my Skyline since I had an accident and the old ones are buckled.

Looking at 18 or 19 inch but not sure which ones. Been told 19's are illegal?? Not sure on that one.

Also the roads down south here are pretty bumpy and I'm wondering how the ride is going to feel, plus thinking about the costs of replacing tyres (which ones??) Want an ok quality one, I don't drive it too hard anyway, so they just have to last a while since its going to cost a bit.

Been told that Toyo is good, and so are Pirelli but they are expensive. Any ideas?

Let me know as I am buying in the next 2 weeks.

19 for looks imo. 18 would be a better all rounder though.. decent 19 rubber would be $250= a tire. not cheap

Go 18's for the best compromise between style and performance. Wide rear rims/tyres look tuff aswell as being purposeful.

I would recommend a proper proven brand (Rays, Enkei, Work etc) or rims rather than heavy inferior Chinese knock offs

These are my new Lenso 19's. They look good, IMO, but the ride is a bit bumpier than its used to be on 17's. Mind u i've also got aus spec teins (fulcrum) so its was gonna be a harsher ride than stock anyway. The tyres are Pirelli Dragons, around $500 a corner (245/35/19) but damn worth it. Used to have Bridgestone Potenzas on the 17's and they were really good too.

I would say spend the extra dollars o tyres if u can .....

ps. dnt laugh at the paint on my front bar, lol, its getting done again

Didnt have a heaps big budget so I got $250 Toyos and then 18" BSA 291's. Heaps of people have them, but I think they look ok.

Will post up pics when I get them!
