Hey guys. Up for sale is my SR20DE. I love her but I'm moving to Sydney in October and don't need it. Also need 4 doors when I'm there

1991 Silvia Q's

Price : $7900

Transmission : Manual

Location : Newcaslte, willing to drive to Sydney if deposit put down.

Engine type : SR20DE

Modifications

1) 17x8 drift teks in bronze all round with federal ss595 tyres 225/45F 235/45R. Still good tread.

2) Just jap bride copy seats on custom rails (bolted directly to floor, do not slide at all, easy enough to change seating position though if only driven by one person, just remove the seats and redrill the holes to where u would like the seat to sit - ENGINEERED!)

3) Aftermarket muffler with 2.5" stainless from after rear resonator (ENGINEERED) Please ask Tristan or Andrew in the Newcastle Thread and they can tell you it's easily one of the best sounding NA S13's around.

4) R32 GTR Style front grill.

5) Front strut brace

6) KYB Excel G shocks with whiteline "superlow" springs - Fairly firm and handles amazing. Not a touch of body roll.

7) Exedy Heavy Duty Clutch. Does not slip at all.

Pioneer head unit and some speakers, not really into sound but it sounds great.

9) Phillips blue vision headlights 4000K

10) Drift button (street credit effect)

11) Legal window tint.

REGO : 26th May 2008!

Kilometres : 185,000

THE GOOD

+ Brand new brake pads all round

+ Brand new spark plugs.

+ Brand new water pump fitted by European Car Centre.

+ Brand new fluids all round, serviced again by European Car centre. (RECEIPTS!)

+ Brand new belts throughout.

+ Always ran 98. Put in a $10'er of 95 If I was desperate.

+ Not a cent to spend on, full rego, pay money and drive away.

THE NOT SO GOOD - This is simply the imperfections of the car so I don't get people coming and looking at it and trying to bargain it away. Everyone except ricers know's that you don't buy a S13 for bling.

- Paint is to be expected of a 16 year old car. It still looks great but there is a slight fade here and there.

- Front left rim has noticabl gutter rash from me taking my eyes off the road and grinding it on a gutter. $140 repair quoted by Promac Newcastle or $300 for a new rim altogether.

------------

Car has always been cared for, never thrashed (previous owner from this forum had it for 5 years. Ask anyone about him and you'll know he treated it like a child)

Serviced every 5,000 k's and never hesitated to spend money on it. Happily will provide number of my mechanic if you want to ask him about the car.

I've only owned the car for about half a year. There are some reasons why I'm selling the car.

I broke my leg about 3 years ago. The clutch hurts after some city driving. So I need a automatic.

I'm often picking up and dropping off people, I really need a 4 door car.

Lastly. Alot of my driving is at night time, so I don't really need a fast loud car. I'm looking at something luxury like a nice old Cressy.

CONTACT : Rhys (pronounced Reece) 0422 49 78 68. If your genuine, you'll come and check out the car. Call or SMS. Don't waste my time or ill simply ignore you.

Photoshop of it dumped how i'd like it, just buy some new springs. It's as low as I could have it to get up my driveway:(

    • Great work! Thanks for documenting the process.
    • How would you even adjust the clutch if the pedal already has the correct free play? The operating cylinder has no adjustment in mounting position or rod length. On pull style clutches there is also no ability to adjust the bearing carrier. Push type I can see how adjusting the carrier height makes it all work.   If this is the twin plate clutch did you verify that your friction disks were oriented correctly? It's not mentioned in the directions at all you just have to notice that one side the friction disks have a part number on the hub fingers and a subtle coning to those fingers. Another thing that I noticed was if you put the friction disks in backwards the pressure plate fingers will not be even and flat when the clutch is installed.
    • yeah, mechanically, it is probably do-able, off the top of my head, there would be the transfer case, which I believe will bolt up to the rear of the RWD transmission, the shorter rear tail shaft. A front drive shaft, front diff, engine upper sump, front drive shafts, front hubs and front AWD struts (they are shaped around the front drive shafts), LCAs (at the very least from the front suspension) oil cooler.  You might want the rear diff from an AWD too, so you can be certain the front and rear diff rations are identical.  Who knows what brackets and mounts you might need.  So a whole doner car might be the best option if you need to maintain RHD. Then actually making it work, that would be a whole different story.
