what sort of hp is required for our skylines to run say, in consideration a launch is normal 1.8 or 1.9

I don't think you will get accurate or realistic figures, mainly due to the fact that very few skylines are raced consistently and are optimised for their setup. I know of a 370rwkw GTR that did a 10.7, then came out again with over 500rwkw and did a 10.5. Car also lost ~50kg's along with the power increase. Another one is 2rismo - I think his old setup with ~280rwkw's did an 11.6, but there was another R33 with over 330rwkw's that did no better than an 11.8. Too many variables, and not enough cars out there. Also getting unbiased information from people is a bit of a bitch.

there are websites that can give you approximate answers. you put in vehicle weight and time and it will give you an estimated hp at the wheels.
