Fs: 1989 Nissan Maxima - Jap Import

Recommended Posts

FOR SALE is a Japanese delivered late 1989 Nissan Maxima which is the same as what was sold locally in Australia from early 1990, it has the same 3.0L V6 engine and automatic transmission as the local model so parts and servicing are only as far away as your nearest Nissan dealer. The car has 92000kms on it at this time. Looking for $6000 as i have lost interest in this project and want to move on!

This car was modified by a young Japanese lady who I purchased it from before importing to Australia. When the car was offered to me I was surprised to find that it was owned by a girl and even more amazed when she told me that it was actually built by her - it appears that the lowrider scene has no boundaries of age, gender or culture and it's certainly spread a long way from it's origins in North America many years ago.

This car has many modifications the most obvious being the custom hydraulic suspension set up, this is a 2 pump, 4 dump, 4 huge battery system that uses add-on struts beside the original suspension - the 4 switch system lets you control front, rear and side-to-side for some fun car dancing. It can go from totally slammed to full height in around 1-2 seconds and the same the other way, it's competition quality gear however it's not set up for hopping or bouncing wheels off the ground.

Other aftermarket features:

Nardi steering wheel

Kaminari ground effects body kit

chrome front grille & door trims

cleared front indicators

16" chrome alloy wheels (205/45x16 tyres)

(17" chrome alloys available if required)

This Vehicle is NOT REGISTERED and needs to be ENGINEERED before it can be.

The Vehicle has had most irregulariies fixed and made Legal...

Remove current OIL Based Hydrualics System and replace with Airbags System or Springs (Airbag System Included but NOT FITTED) (about $2000)

This vehicle drives exceptionally well, Is mechanically Sound with no problems.
