hey guys,

I got a new battery for my r32 gtst today its a Century NS40ZL which is the model it had in the book (although it had same model for all imported skylines) but I got it home and realised terminals were opposite way around but I fixed that problem by turning the battery around other way and leads just reached but the bigger problem was the fact the terminals are TINY! My battery clamps are too big for them (and I just bought new clamps and I dont think there were any smaller ones).

So I'm going to exchange it tomorrow.

If any R32 owners have Century batteries I'd like to know what model you have please?

Thanks!

actually....thats the one I have (32 GTR)....the terminals are the wrong way around but they reach ok.

the clamps on the GTR are the small ones...so either gtst is different or yours have been changed at some stage.

But take it back to where you got it you will be able to find another one same size but with big terminals - repco I think have a good range

2 days after i got my 32, the battery ran out in pakenham, on the way to a mates place in essendon. went to autobahn and got a century high performance battery for it.. they gave me the exact model you got dude, terminals were huge.. took it back and the stock battery and they found it...

could have a look for ya if you wanted to?

hey josh, thanks mate but I went down this afternoon and swapped it for one with bigger terminals. hehe its funny that they gave you the one with big terminals when you needed small and I got one with small but I needed big. So stock GTST battery must come with small terminals but mine must've been changed to a big terminal battery somewhere along the line.

    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
