Not trolling your thread, but u do realize that u are surveying a narrow demographic of people? "General public" isnt a set group of individuals who all share a common interest (being cars in this case) which wont give u a good result of what people think...

<random example> Its like standing outside of a blood bank and asking what people think about donating blood...?

100% agree and that's why I'm surveying randoms too:)

mate, please ensure in your project you go into the defanition of the word HOON and look at the common stereotype.

then question how it became such a political subject and recieved so much attantion. of course HOON relates to a person

or driver, not a specific type of car or features. were do fatalitys occour in sa why? are fatalitys inevitable? what factors are involved?

then when you think, if the SA government could harness the fact that people (hoons) delibaratly break the law and do so wrecklessly.

force a public interest therfore seek to portay it in media (NEWS) creating a FEAR scenario\tacktic to shock angreed parents\drivers into fearing sharing the roads with a HOON!

FORCE ACTION< who dears to choose an interest in jap imports, wears the label HOON

i remember hearing cop saying "we pull about 5-10 skylines over in a week, were just bound to find illegal modifications on them"

to me there just taking the easy way out, my skyline will stop qucker, handle better and be much safer that 80%

of the cars out there. what aboutthe EA falcon that is ruff and deserves to be defected but they dont look twice :S

just acting on the government created scapegoat (HOON) that threw media (propaganda) has brain washed the public into demanding actoin to prevent road fatalities and create safer roads. The police force then convice and brain wash there officers in achieving there monthly quota!

therefore steering the publice eye away from the real problem inadequate road planing, surfaces and sighning.

sigh** Venting

lol i was boored. HI CHUMPS >_<

    • And now the bloody flapper is jammed slightly open. Lazy as all f**k in 3rd-5th (very hard to convince it to make much boost before you run out of revs), but will make 12 psi in 1st, which shouldb't be possible with a 5 psi spring and controller set to <10 psi. Methinks I'm lucky it jammed where it did, rather than fully closed. It's actually a well weird situation. Careful examination of what's happening in the back of that housing when the gearbox comes out and all the other stuff (injectors, AFM retune) is supposed to be done, next week.
    • The powder coating came in at $250 EACH. The TRX rims got a coat of clearcoat on the outside only.
    • Bit wet, but YUMMY
    • Keeping in mind that I am currently getting flat 10 L/100km on my RB25DET, which means >>500km/tank. I would test this car for vacuum leaks, check codes and AFM signal with NissDataScan as D says, check plugs, do a compression check while they are out.
    • It is hard to be specific half way across the world...but it *seems* like it might have a minor issue. Is the idle stable and does it rev smoothly? I would not expect any pops out of what I am assuming is a standard ECU, standard tune, standard exhaust. You can use Nissan Data Scan to find out exactly what is happening when it runs, the cable/software is reasonably affordable if you are not planning on changing the ECU (which hopefully you are not with an NA skyline) BTW your mileage may not be that far off, these are heavy old tech cars, and being NA might mean you use a heavy foot to keep up with traffic....
